A sneak peek behind the scenes with our International Product Marketeer
Rebranding a concept with new varieties requires us to produce new promotional material for our customers. We recently organised a photo shoot in a beautiful lavender field for our Lavandula Lovers novelties Lavici® Blue and White Summer. Marjolein, our International Product Marketeer, took us along for a sneak peek behind the scenes.

How did the shoot go?
Everything went perfectly: the location, the decorations, the wonderful weather and, of course, the stunning lavender! The lavender field blooming with Essence completed the picture for the beautiful rebranding shoot. It almost looked like we were in France!
Was the shoot necessary?
Oh, definitely. Apart from anything else, it has enabled us to design new POS material to offer our customers. Using this branding across all our media communications boosts brand awareness and creates uniformity. Customers can easily download the pictures from our photo database and use them for their own purposes. Now that's service!
Are you at a photo shoot location every day?
No, sadly! As a International Product Marketeer, I am responsible for organising all the marketing activities in the run-up to a product launch. Going to the occasional photo shoot is part of that, but it isn’t a daily occurrence. Most of my work involves storytelling, USPs and branding, but it’s also important to know what segment the product is suitable for (e.g. a supermarket, DIY store or high-end retail) so that the campaign can be used in the right way.
And what do you like best about your work?
Organising and coordinating projects. I also think that the balance between product and marketing is the perfect combination. It’s important for me to stay close to the product and I can do that well in this role.
"Whatever the grower is looking for in lavender, Lavandula Lovers has it all" - Marjolein Kuyucu - Lodder

What makes Lavandula Lovers special for you?
The fact that it’s suitable for every customer. This is also the essence of Lavandula Lovers. The plants flower throughout the whole season and are available in different plug sizes. Some growers look for the most winter-hardy lavender, others want a lavender with the biggest flower heads or one that is suitable for a smaller pot size. Lavandula Lovers has it all.
