About Quedlinburg Breeding location
In historic Quedlinburg, Florensis’s oldest breeding site, the company combines many years of experience with modern technology. The focus here is on research and development of new varieties and genetics. The site has a key role to play in the development of new varieties, particularly in the field of perennials.
Our work on site takes place in modern greenhouses, polytunnels with insulated chambers and container facilities. We make use of the very modern methods for cross-breeding, selection and the production of elite plant material and seeds.
About the team
Our breeding team in Quedlinburg combines a deep passion for plants with a strong team spirit and continuous professional dialogue. With 18 dedicated employees – including six apprentices – we are a stable, close-knit team that drives innovation in plant breeding. We work together very close and on a truly equal basis, as flat hierarchies and shared respect form the foundation of our success. Every voice counts from day one, enabling us to create a motivating atmosphere in which the tradition and future of plant technology go hand in hand.
